Fashion’s Next Big Hits (or Not?)
As someone who works in fashion, trends are always on my mind. At Fashivly, we’re constantly diving deep into what’s going to be the next big thing. Sometimes, we spot a trend early and just know it’s going to blow up. Case in point: barn jackets for 2024. Beyond forecasting what will be everywhere, I’ve been focusing on what I want to wear, and trying to buy only pieces that truly speak to my personal style while keeping an eye on what’s ahead of the trend curve.
2025 is shaping up to be the year of personal style—and honestly, I’m here for it. Sure, trends are definitely fun, but at this point in my fashion journey, I want to wear what feels like me… even if that means I’m rocking something that might not quite make it to the mainstream. But hey, I’m betting on a few key pieces I think will hit big in 2025 (or, maybe they won’t. Who knows? Check back later! ☺).
Here’s what I currently have in my shopping cart:
1. Boho Daydreams c/o VRG Grl
Boho seems to never really go away! It’s always waiting for the perfect moment to swoop back into our wardrobes in an updated modern way. And let me tell you, Spring’s top runways have taken the boho aesthetic to a new level of dreaminess. I’ve been totally obsessed with the Chloe Spring 2025 show. If you haven’t seen it yet, go take a peek—it’s like an ethereal, bohemian dream come to life. I was so inspired that when I spotted this VRG Grl matching set, I had to buy it on the spot (which is something I rarely do). It feels like me and a more wearable version of the runway vibe. Can’t wait to live in this set all summer long! (top + skirt)

2. Viral Damson Madder Jeans 2.0
As I continue to hone in on my personal style for 2025, one thing has become abundantly clear: I’m mostly a jeans and T-shirt girl through and through—and you know what? That’s totally okay! I feel most confident when I’m wearing a well-fitting pair of jeans, a crisp white tee, and styling it up with cool accessories. Lately, I’ve been loving Damson Madder jeans, and I’m ready to add a third pair to my collection. The embroidery detail is subtle but chic, and it feels fresh and cool without losing that classic denim vibe. It’s basically the updated boho trend in denim form with the embroidery, which is awesome and totally feels like me.

3. Fish Charm Silk Necklace
Okay, I’m a little obsessed with the fisherman aesthetic I spotted first on Pinterest. Unlike your typical nautical trend, this is a more rugged, coastal grandpa vibe. Think less sailor, more "local fisherman who’s been living by the sea for 30 years."

I’m really hoping this trend gains more traction in 2025, because I think it has a lot of potential to become the coastal vibe for the year. Time will tell, of course. But in the meantime, I need this necklace in my life asap. Maybe I’ll also join my husband for some real fishing! Or happy hour on the water works too.
4. Ballet Sneakers: Ugly-Cool Perfection
I’m kind of sucker for a trend that could be deemed a bit ugly. And when it comes to these shoes I’m not sure if they are ballet flats? Or are they sneakers? Honestly, who cares? They’re a perfect blend of both, and I love it. This fun hybrid style is really speaking to me. I have this pink-red combo from Jeffrey Campbell in my cart that’s just begging to be styled in a million ways. These shoes have that perfect blend of “What is that?” and “Why is it so cool?” that I just can’t resist.

5. Woven Leather Footwear (Yes, Please)
We saw woven leather bags take over in 2024, and now I’m ready for that texture to make its way into footwear. Enter: Loeffler Randall. These shoes are the perfect blend of loafer and boat shoe—classic, but with a modern twist. The woven texture and leather lace details give them a laid-back, coastal vibe that I’m all about. It’s a subtle nod to the fisherman aesthetic in a sleek and sophisticated way. Definitely a top contender for my 2025 wardrobe!
6. My Second Chance at Girl Scouts
Fun fact: I was a Brownie as a kid but never made it to a full-fledged Girl Scout. So, I like to think this hat is my personal comeback. I’ve been obsessed with Found ever since they launched in 2023. Patches have always been a part of their brand DNA and they don’t tend to follow trends. The hat I’ve had my eye on has been sitting in my cart for weeks, but I think it’s finally time to hit check out. As much as I also love the coat, I really don’t need another one right now, so in the name of responsibility, I’m going to go with the hat (which, honestly, I love just as much). Plus, I’m all for an accessory that can elevate a more basic outfit. (jacket + hat)

So, that’s what I’m buying right now. Some of it’s trend-driven, some of it’s just what feels right for me—and who knows, maybe I’ll look back on 2025 and have some buyer’s remorse. But either way, I’m excited to see how it all plays out. What are you guys loving right now? Any early adopters in the crowd? Let me know in the comments. Let’s ride these trends together!
I’m definitely adopting the patch trend. I have thrifted some blazers and I’m going to patch them up myself!
