Tanna: We loved reflecting on our personal style from the past year in our EOY Style Reflections post, so we thought we’d keep the trend going as we approach spring! During the transition from one season to the next, we often reassess our closets and look for fresh inspiration as we think about what we might want to add to it. Follow along to hear our takes on some of the spring 2025 trends - what we think works for us and what doesn’t!
*And if you read all the way to the end, you’ll find some info about a very exciting giveaway…so don’t miss it!*
What spring trends are you participating in?
Ashlyn:
I am a HUGE fan of stripes and polka dots.. Both in black and white of course! I’m really excited about this return to maximalism and some real personality in dressing that we’re seeing. I can’t wait to see how people incorporate and mix them together. I’m also really excited about Sporty Luxe- Doechii is a huge part of this influence I think and she’s my latest style crush :)
Nicole:
It’s cool that sporty luxe is trending for fall. I’ve been leaning into it naturally as i’ve been reaching for pieces that let me move easily while still feeling put together. I’m also craving more personalization in my wardrobe, so you’ll definitely catch me adding a trinket or two. And of course lots of stripes. Pinstripes and classic stripes have always been a core part of my style. That’s never changing.
Maddie:
Absolutely trinkets and big bags. I’m a maximalist and love having a collection of unique, curated stuff. Naturally I need a big bag to carry all that stuff in.
Jess:
There are so many great trends for Spring! I’m really loving the trinkets we’re seeing—it's making me want to raid my grandmother’s brooch collection (never thought I'd say that!). And I'm ready to DIY style up my sneakers with lace shoelaces and charms. It’s such a fun and creative way to express individuality! I’ve always been a big sneaker girl, so the slim sneaker trend really speaks to me. I especially loved the metallic Adidas we had on set for our spring trends shoot. Dusty pastels like petal pink, pistachio, and dusty blue are also catching my eye. These soft, feminine shades look amazing when paired with unexpected colors. And I’m really into the fisherman aesthetic—it’s a fresh update to nautical and has me dreaming of summer coastal life.
Tanna:
I’m very excited about the trinkets trend and just personalization in general! I have so many random vintage jewelry pieces and scarves and charms and I’m itching to get creative and incorporate them in new ways. Also I’m surprised that I’m gravitating towards the sporty luxe trend - as a big sports lover, I think I’m looking at it as a way to rep some of my teams in a cool new way, maybe with a vintage varsity jacket!
What spring trends are you avoiding?
Ashlyn:
I know they’re going to be big, but I just can’t get behind peep toe shoes! I had a pair of stacked wooden wedge peep toes that were my go-to shoe throughout the 2010’s, but I’m just not ready to go back yet.
Nicole:
Peep toe shoes just aren't it for me. If you see me in a peep toe call the police.
Maddie:
Much to the chagrin of my outdoorsman father, I am someone who identifies as indoorsy and I don’t totally resonate with the fisherman trend. I do like a fisherman sandal, though!
Jess:
I have to agree with Ashlyn and Maddie on this one—I just can’t get behind the peep-toe shoe. I know it was all over the runways, but I’m still not convinced it will stick around for long. I also appreciate the sporty luxe trend, but it’s not quite my vibe. I admire it on others, but I’m not sure how to make it work for my own style.
Tanna:
I won’t deny that slim sneakers look so cool, but they just aren’t me. The adidas gazelle is about as slim as I can go, and even then I reach for my chunky sneakers first before remembering that I own a pair of gazelles! Even my converse and vans are platform. Just short girl problems, I suppose. (also everyone is hating on peep toe shoes and I have to say I can’t relate - been obsessing over this Tory Burch pair for over a year now)
What’s on your wishlist for spring?
Ashlyn:
I actually just got the low waisted pleated grey skirt from Abercrombie from our spring shoot! I’ve already been wearing it with tights, tall boots and jackets for now but really excited to pair it with a more dainty top or graphic tee and sneaks for spring.
Nicole:
As my wardrobe is rounding out, I'm really excited by jewelry and accessories these days. Silver ear cuffs, stacked, ring stacks, mixed metal necklaces, headbands with jump rings, and things with grommets.
Maddie:
I need a big leather crossbody bag! I have some fab big shoulder bags, but I’m finding my shoulder needs a break these days. Been eyeing a few but nothing has felt 100% right yet.
Jess:
I absolutely fell in love with the Poppy Barley Milan pink loafers we had on set. They were so cute styled with a fun sock, and now I’m convinced I need to own a pair. There are endless ways to style them for spring! I’ve also been on the hunt for a fish pendant necklace, and I think I’ve found the perfect one from Brinker + Eliza.
Tanna:
With winter lasting well into April in Boston, I’m looking at fun winter accessories that can bring some of the joy of spring. This skinny scarf in particular I’ve had my eye on because I can see myself wearing it past the bulky coat season with lighter transitional jackets!
What are your go-to transitional pieces for spring?
Ashlyn:
A leather jacket is my favorite piece for spring. I love wearing it over a summer dress with boots or oxfords, it’s the perfect pairing both for the weather and just the juxtaposition of hard and soft!
Nicole:
White Gap Big Shirt, Bermuda-length denim jorts / tall boot combo, a transition from hard pants to soft pants.
Maddie:
Mini skirts!! My fave. So chic as a transitional piece with a long coat.
Jess:
I’m really excited to bring back out my suede blazer as a spring coat. I love how it looks with a crisp t-shirt and well-fitting jeans, and I can easily elevate the look with fun accessories. It also pairs beautifully with a great white dress for spring.
Tanna:
Oooh this is tough because I love seasonal transition dressing. It’s a tie between a transitional jacket - leather, suede, quilted, trench coat - or a skirt/shorts + tall boot combo!
Current inspo/influences that you’re leaning into?
Ashlyn:
Boho is definitely making a comeback, but I’m really excited to see how everyone refreshes it and makes it their own!
Nicole:
I’m currently inspired by really rich color combinations. Fully obsessed with a pop of pale blue. A pale blue / burgundy or pale blue / deep rich brown, in decor, in outfits, it just hits every time.
Maddie:
These days I’m just leaning into an overall vibe of fun! If it makes me happy, I’m wearing it. Sequins, statement jewelry, unique materials and textures- I’m in my more is more era.
Jess:
I can’t stop thinking about the Chloe Spring 2025 runway show. It was full of delicate lace detailing, flowing dresses, and soft pastel hues—so dreamy and feminine. It’s definitely inspiring me to hunt for a vintage lace silk pastel dress and style it with my favorite moto boots for an edgy twist.
Tanna:
Really loving a cinched/tapered waist silhouette lately - I’ve been seeing some tops and jackets with that design and it always grabs my attention! Currently thinking about how to incorporate that in to my generally oversized wardrobe… might start with a top like this and/or a jacket like this!
What Poppy Barley shoe embodies your spring vibe?
Ashlyn:
The Academy Mary Jane of course! I actually love it in the white for spring, and the studded detailing and lug sole makes it a perfect fit for my style.
Nicole:
The BLVD Mary Jane but in Latte. I love the look of a pale nude on a darker skin tone.
Maddie:
The Laid Back Loafer in black. I’m very picky about loafers and these are very cute. I think I need them??
Jess:
I’ve been on the lookout for a metallic shoe, and the Camille Mary Jane is perfect. I would wear them with everything—from an all-denim outfit with a red sock to a floral dress for a spring wedding. They’re the ideal height and look super comfortable!
Tanna:
As much as I also love the Academy Mary Jane, the Alpine Chelsea Boot is calling my name for the snowy + rainy days ahead where I want to be warm but chic! I especially love the shale color, but the white is also super cool! I’m seeing everyone in Blundstones these days, and these feel like a leveled up version that fits way better with my personal style.

Skinny scarves! I notice a lot of my European girlies know how to rock a skinny scarf and I've felt inspired. Also, I love the pleated maxi!
